I am a freelance writer and producer specialising in travel, lifestyle and news – a contributor to some of the world’s most prestigious newspapers and magazines, including The Australian, Australian Geographic, The Jerusalem Post, The New Zealand Herald, Sunday Telegraph, Daily Telegraph and Cosmopolitan. I have also worked on several documentaries for Australian Geographic TV, ABC and Beyond TV.
Story assignments have taken me across the Atlantic Ocean on a sailing boat, reporting from Israel during the second Gulf War and on tour with ACDC. A natural observer and a passionate storyteller, I have been a writer ever since I could hold a pencil.
Born to a travelling, theatre-producing family, my first eight years were spent living in the East. I climbed the Himalayas before I could read and waited for the tooth fairy in a tribal longhouse in Borneo. I strive to write about thought-provoking topics – even change government policies – or simply provide a moment of light reading over a pot of tea.
I have more than five years of experience working as a sub-editor on international publications including Qantas the Australian Way, Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, Silkroad, Jerusalem Post and AAP. Previously I spent two years as journalist and editor of the Australian Jewish News Sydney Life, during which time I oversaw a major redesign of the Sydney magazine.
I’m currently working on a documentary about
Goa Kids, freelancing and enjoying life in Sydney with my husband and two children.
